Researchers find beads made from 5,300 Year-Old Meteorite

Ancient Egyptians known to have a were very advanced civilization. Even to make jewelry they do not messing around, using meteorites as feedstock. Ancient Egyptians use stones to make jewelry metals sky. Team of archaeologists from the Open University in the UK confirmed this. They find a beaded necklace 5,300-year-old in the ancient Egyptian burial site.

Previous analyzes of the oldest of nine iron beads in a cemetery near the River Nile can not prove their origin. Now researchers have analyzed one bead jewelry and concluded that it was made from meteorites. Bead surface has a low nickel content, but part of it containing high nickel contained in meteorites.

But the most valid evidence is a typical crystal structure known as a Widmanstatten pattern is only formed when iron and nickel cools very slowly, as seen in meteoroids.
